Sugaring Hair Removal

Sugaring

WHO
The first  thing to know about sugaring is who created it. Like many other beauty regimes, The Ancient Egyptians are one of the earliest references of all hair removal techniques (that includes sugaring).

WHAT
Sugaring is an ancient method of hair removal. Sugar paste is made primarily of sugar, although it also contains lemon juice and water.

WHERE
As we know, sugaring hair removal recipes and techniques came from The Ancient Egyptians and has been passed down from generations to generations. To this day, a lot of Middle Eastern women perform sugaring services on themselves. Currently, you can get sugaring hair removal services done in certain salons, spas or studios.

WHEN
In Ancient Egypt, hair on the body was considered to be dirty by the upper class.  Kings requested that women be brought to them "clean and smooth" (aka hairless). During the reign of the Turkish empire, the removal of body hair was considered an art. Certain Egyptian museums have copper and bronze razors and tweezers from as far back as 1900 BC.

HOW it works
The sugar paste is applied to the surface of the skin in a rolling motion which, when removed, takes the hair along with it. Sugar paste adheres only to the hair and not the skin and can easily be removed with water. The skin may get red following treatment but this will go down within 24 hours.

So, WHY should you get sugared?
This ancient art of hair removal can provide potentially permanent and satisfactory results.
Unlike wax (which contains chemical resins), sugaring is made up of all natural ingredients (you could literally eat it)
Sugaring is water soluble (meaning water will remove any residue left over or any mess made.
Sugaring doesn't adhere to live skin cells making it less painful than waxing.
Sugaring is bacteria resistant due to its high sugar content.(Bacteria can NOT breed in high concentrates of sugar)
Sugaring removes hairs in the direction of hair growth, which helps eliminate ingrown hairs.
Sugaring is safe for sensitive skin conditions.
Sugaring hair removal can extract very short hairs, meaning a smooth service, EVERY time.
After each sugaring hair removal treatment, the hair grows more refined which can eventually lead to permanent results.
Sugaring hair removal lasts between 4 - 6 weeks depending on the level of hair growth. (That's an entire month of being hair free!)

Become Beautifully Bare with Sugaring.
