10 Free winter date ideas It’s November!  ❄️  We’re still waiting for snow where we are but I thought I’d share some FREE winter date ideas! None of these ideas involve alcohol but they can if you’d like. They also can all be done to include your family (including the fur babies) adapt as needed!  Winter picnic  🧺   You can have a picnic in the back of your vehicle with the heat on and some blankets while enjoying the view. Be sure to pack a warm beverage!  Winter bonfire  🔥   If this isn’t on one of your winter bucket lists, it should be. Grab some hot chocolate, coffee, tea, warm milk or even some mulled wine or hot apple cider and enjoy a winter bonfire!  Winter hike  🥾 Map out a nice hike, turn on Res Q Walk to help support a local animal charity (or WoofTrax), get bundled, pack some water and extra socks (maybe a thermos with some hot cocoa) and...

How To Ensure Your Pets Have a Safe Halloween

Image
Hello!  In this months blog I thought I’d share some tips/ what I do to keep my pets safe on Halloween.  I  grew up having cats  and dogs my entire life. These are the things that I was taught and things I figured out on my own. I hope this helps to keep your fur babies safe. Halloween can be a dangerous time for cats so my biggest tip is to: Isolate cats (put them in a low to no traffic room with the door shut) make sure to have water, food, litter , toys, beds, maybe a cat tree and some light on.     I also like to treat them with some soft food and/ or some extra treats or cat nip. You can also put on a show, movie or the radio. I like to put on something that’s Halloween themed but not creepy. You don’t want to scare them, and you don’t want them to feel trapped or alone. (Halloweentown 1, 2 & 3 work great.) another great recommendation is to have something that smells like you in that room to help calm them. If you have an easily stressed cat...

Looking at my previous hairstyles

Happy August! I decided to make this entire month about hair. From my blog post to my YouTube video to my Instagram and even my Pinterest.     I’m a certified hairstylist and thought it would be fun to go through some of my previous cuts & colours in this blog.   Ok let’s begin…  The only reason I didn’t like this colour is because it was box dyed and I had had my natural hair for forever before doing this. Myself. At home. 3 times within 24 hrs.    Regrets.  This one was a little before the blonde. I had done a box ombré that was horrible and covered it with purple. I actually liked the purple. And still think it’s cute.  Yet ANOTHER box dye. This was what I did after the blonde moment. This was very knotty and had a green tint to it in sunlight because I did not fill it at all. Regrets again.  Then some cap highlights…. Yikes. Very blotchy and brassy.  This was professionally coloured over top of the previous pictures colour...
