Faith Resources!
Things I’ve learned/ Resources I found after reading the entire Bible last year (and over again this year) and diving deeper into my faith
Happy New Year! I just wanted to start the year off on the blog sharing some stuff I learned/ resources I found surrounding my faith. I hope you enjoy and we will see you next month for another blog!
-Devotionals make a difference. You can purchase (I obviously love CCB so I’m working on hers but there’s so many others. Like Carlos & Alexa PenaVega have one that has just recently been released. They also have a Book that goes with it- which I highly recommend) you can also access free devotional plans on the YouVersion Bible App
-The (YouVersion) Bible App (it’s free) is an App where you can access all translations of the Bible as well as some devotional plans for free.
-Dayspring offers free blogs, emails and digital content. (They also have stuff you can purchase and devotionals of course). You can sample their devotionals on the YouVersion Bible App also!
-The Angel Studios App is a free streaming app and has all the seasons of The Chosen which is a show about Jesus’s ministry.
-God answers all prayers. He answers with “yes”, “no”, or “wait”. - Tara Leigh Cobble from The Bible Recap on The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.
-It’s important not to take things out of context from the bible which is why it helps to read it all the way through chronologically (I use Tara Leigh Cobbles The Bible Recap Reading Plan and Podcast)
-There are 4 different ways God speaks to us. You may experience more than one but typically you fall into one of the four categories more than others: Hearers, Knowers, Dreamers, Feelers. -Bianca Juarez Oltoff author of Grit Don’t Quit on The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast
-How to pray (there’s no right or wrong way) but a way to feel confident in your prayer is to practice the acronym A.C.T.S
A- Adoration. Praise God
C- Confession apologize for hurt & sin you’ve done
T- Thanksgiving- Thank Him for His many blessings
S- Supplication- Ask for what you need.
End prayer with “In Jesus’s name. Amen”
-Bianca Juarez Olthoff author of Grit Don’t Quit on The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast
-You don’t have to use scripture to pray but it helps you on your prayer confidence. God likes to hear His own words
-Megan Leigh (I love her Bible studies that she does live on IG)
—Reading the bible (whether a believer or just curious) will change your life
See you next month!
