I wanted to share some of my creativity with you in this blog. I am an avid DIYer and I like to save money where I can. So this is a list of inexpensive DIY Valentines Day Gift Ideas from yours truly!


Light up floral shadow box



All the info is in the description box of the linked video tutorial for this. Inexpensive, thoughtful and pretty. You can use whatever flowers your Valentines favourite are or just what you have lying around the house. Get creative!



Heart Dog Treats



Recipe and steps are in the linked video as well     This would be a good gift for a dog lover or just for your pup!



Candy cat toy



The instructions are (of course) in the linked video! More specifically in the first half of the video. This would be great for a cat mom or cat dad or just for your feline friend!



DIY Amazon Lantern



Instead of paying (and waiting) for the lanterns to show up, you can go out get the supplies (mostly at the dollar store) and make these for your Valentine!



Strawberry Jello and Pudding parfait with whipped cream dessert



Instructions, recipe and video tutorial are linked! Making your Valentine a special dessert is so sweet and simple but such a lovely idea!



Chocolate dipped strawberries



These are a great little snack (you can surprise your Valentine by packing them in their lunch)! 



Crochet Heart Appliqué

You can crochet your Valentine however many hearts you want! You can even sew them in an Afghan that you find at the thrift store (and wash- or that you’ve made) to make it more love themed! Add it to any knitted or crocheted item for a pop of love!



Make your Valentine a delicious supper! 


Polachinta is one of my favourites and it’s so good it might as well be a dessert! It’s basically rolled and baked crepes with a sugary filling. 



Give your Valentine a Manicure or a Pedicure

Make a homemade slurpee (aka Italian ice from @greatdepressioncooking on YouTube with Clara)

How To Beat The Winter Blues With Hygge

Now that the holidays are over, the winter blues can start to set in. Personally, I love the holidays for family time together, the cozy warmth and Christmas spirit. Who says Christmas spirit has to end come the New Year?  I have always been someone who loves Christmas and have even been known to listen to Christmas music in the sweltering hot days of July. I usually do little things to keep the spirit alive throughout the year and help build excitement for the year to come.
