Looking at my previous hairstyles

Happy August! I decided to make this entire month about hair. From my blog post to my YouTube video to my Instagram and even my Pinterest.  I’m a certified hairstylist and thought it would be fun to go through some of my previous cuts & colours in this blog.

Ok let’s begin…

The only reason I didn’t like this colour is because it was box dyed and I had had my natural hair for forever before doing this. Myself. At home. 3 times within 24 hrs.  Regrets.

This one was a little before the blonde. I had done a box ombré that was horrible and covered it with purple. I actually liked the purple. And still think it’s cute.

Yet ANOTHER box dye. This was what I did after the blonde moment. This was very knotty and had a green tint to it in sunlight because I did not fill it at all. Regrets again.

Then some cap highlights…. Yikes. Very blotchy and brassy.

This was professionally coloured over top of the previous pictures colour. I think it was too dark for my skin tone.

Then I stuck with professionally done colours ever since. This was my first balayage. It was a little warmer in person but I still loved it.

Loved the balayage so much I went even lighter.

This is how it looked up. Still cute!

This was how the balayage looked after chopping a couple inches off. I kept it like this for a couple months. This is a before picture of the next picture but it didn’t ordinarily look this dry. I liked it at the time. A lot.

After chopping off some more and getting a dark colour again. Cute but not very me.

Even less me when I got a straight across fringe aka bangs. Yuck.

After this I got a perm but there are no pictures. For a good reason. Biggest regret!

Cue the red…. Whyyyyyy

Annndd extensions. Honestly still think this is a cute look. Even if it is very 2009ish.

This is the faded red after 4 months of not colouring it whatsoever. Definitely not as vibrant but honestly not too bad.

After this I left it for quite awhile.

Then coloured it dark and cut myself some bangs. Again. I never learn. This is a cute picture but the bangs did not look cute 98% of the time. This was right before lockdown.

Bangs grew out. This is during lockdown.

Then I got highlights after lockdown. I loved the brightness BUT the top had bled so there was patchiness and the virgin growth was considerably lighter than the mid to ends. Which wasn’t cute. My friend filled it and tried to make it look more like a balayage. Thank god for her! Just in time for my sisters wedding too!

And now we’re up to date. You can see I have quite a bit of dimension. It’s just a little warmer than I want. So this month I think I’ll be going to the salon to get a foilayage!

Have fun with your hair. But make sure that fun is with a professional. 😉

See you in the next blog!
