14 Love/ Romance Reads for February

Image
Happy month of love!  This months book recommendation theme is love and romance! I've chosen 14 due to Valentines Day, of course! A couple reminders (these are the same FYI's from last month, so if you read those feel free to skip to the list/ links!) I want to mention that the books that have physical copies available through  Saskatoon Public Library  (SPL) you may have to "place a hold" to get it sent to your nearest Library. I have done this several times with several books and once it's at my library I get an email stating its ready for pick up so I head to my library and tell them my name and borrow it. Sometimes this takes days and sometimes weeks- it just depends so keep that in mind. Also The Libby app is connected to SPL but is its own app that you would need to download for free and have a Saskatoon Public Library Card in order to access these titles. Library Cards are free. All you need to do is go to your nearest library (or any Saskatoon library) wi...

Cozy Reads for January

Image
Happy New Year!  This past year I've really been reading a lot and spending a lot of time on my Goodreads app to track and rate books as well as document my books I want to read. Because of that, my goal for this year is to read 50 books! I didn't set a goal last year until half way through the year but I did reach it. So anyways, this year I really wanted to share a lot of the books I've been reading and loving. I've tried to categorize them and then I will post the lists monthly as blogs here. Now, if you've been reading my blogs for a while you know that I am a fan of recommending free things rather than asking you to spend your money. This series of my recommended monthly readings will mostly be free but could have one or two books that you may have to buy in order to read (unless a friend has a copy and will lend it to you- which is always worth a shot, as well as checking out your neighbourhoods Little Free Library - which isn't always registered on the s...

Dog Friendly Summer Bucket List

Image
 1. Visit all the Free Little Libraries in the City  2. Visit all of the Dog Parks in Saskatoon only if your dog is trained and not aggressive.  3. Enjoy a flight of cider at CrossMount Cider Company  on the patio with your pup 4. Bring your pet to shop small at Barley & Blossom Pet Boutique  5. While you’re there why not get a nail trim, touch up package or book a grooming appointment for your fur baby at YXE Pet Parlour  6. Sign up your pup for FREE Dog Days of Summer at Mayfair Pool if your dog is friendly, well socialized, trained, licensed and up to date on vaccinations.  7. Have a backyard pool day with your pups! I bought a designer pet pool from Barley & Blossom for my pups ;) 8. Go to the spray parks (after hours- you never know if a child is nervous of dogs or vice versa and dogs aren’t actually allowed during the daytime hours) 9. While you’re at a spray of, walk over the parks playground and give your pup or pups a little obstac...

Last summer I shared my favourite podcasts and I wanted to update them for this summer!  Starting off with The Bible Recap My second time reading through the entire Bible in a year. This podcast helps me understand what I read and guides me through in chronological order daily.  Drama Queens The three main girl characters rewatch OTH and recap plus give the behind the scenes info. It’s amazing and funny and crazy and includes guests every so often! I’m currently caught up 100% for this one  new episodes Monday/ Sunday nights Office Ladies Jenna Fischer & Angela Kinsey- the ladies who played Pam and Angels on the office have a rewatch podcast and share behind the scenes, fast facts and have guests from The Office. I’m a little behind on this one since I recently started it. I’m still in the 2020 episodes and savouring them  Candace Cameron Bure Podcast  I love Candace Cameron Bure and I love how  her podcast has seasons with different hosts. It’s v...
